What is Marching Band?

It is a group of musicians playing and marching around with instruments/flags/rifles for entertainment and competition purposes. The marching band plays at football games, parades, and competitions.

 

Who can do Marching Band?

Anyone can participate! You just need to be enrolled in a band class in order to participate in marching band. The only exception is for color guard members.

 

What is the time commitment for Marching Band?

Marching band is a big time commitment but is worth it! The marching season runs from July through November. Rehearsals are Tuesday through Thursday, weekly. Rehearsals will be from 4:00pm–6:30pm. Performances are for football games on Friday nights (sometimes Thursday night) and competitions on Saturdays (times vary week to week).
